Description

We invite you to join us at our June Potluck.

Meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts, learn news about our club, have a tasty meal and hear a wonderful local speaker with a strong connection to the AMC Berkshire Chapter.

Our speaker will be Mike Leavitt of the Berkshire Natural Resources Council. Mike will be talking about the trails and opportunities offered by the BNRC and other land conservation organizations in the Berkshires. Mike had a summer job leading youth trail crews in the Berkshires, and later serving the club as an Americorps volunteer.

This event is for members of the AMC Berkshire Chapter, and for others who are interested in the outdoors and looking to get move involved with the chapter and our activities.

The Appalachian Mountain Club promotes the protection, enjoyment, and understanding of the mountains, forest, waters, and trails of the Appalachian region. We believe these resources have intrinsic worth and also provide recreational opportunities, spiritual renewal, and ecological and economic health for the region. Because successful conservation depends on active engagement with the outdoors, we encourage people to experience, learn about, and appreciate the natural world. The Berkshire Chapter serves all of Western Massachusetts and parts of Eastern New York.
